name does not appear on the roster and whose registration status cannot
be determined by the precinct officer.
A voter whose name does not appear on the roster and who has been verified
as ineligible to vote
A voter who does not have identification
A voter who is voting as a result of a federal or state court order or
any order under state law in effect 10 days prior to election day which
extends the polling hours
A voter who has been challenged by all four precinct election officers

Poll workers are there to help you. They will show you how to use
the voting machine or give you a provisional ballot if you need one.
If you feel you need to file a complaint, ask for instructions on
how to file a complaint.

ballot is 7 days before an election.

Voting by Absentee Ballot
Voting early on machine at Courthouse
Voters who will NOT be in Madison County on election day can vote early
at the Madison County Courthouse County Clerk's office right now.
A voting machine is available during normal business
hours of 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The machine will be open for voters
through Monday, Nov. 3 when it will shut down at closing time.
Mail-in absentee ballot
You may request an application for an absentee ballot through your
county clerk’s office in person, by phone, by mail or
by fax. A voter’s spouse, parent or child can request an application
for a mail-in absentee ballot. You must fulfill one of several criteria
to qualify for a mail-in absentee ballot, including advanced age
or disability, student residency, incarceration, or away on vacation
or for work.
The deadline for applying for a mail-in absentee ballot is 7 days before
an election. The completed application must be received
by the County Clerk by mail or in person by the 7 day deadline. The
absentee ballot must be received in the county clerk’s office
by 6 p.m. on Election Day for the ballot to be counted. For questions
